The UISD Department of Athletics is proud to announce Justin Meza as the Aquatics Program Coordinator and Head Diving Coach.
In this role, Coach Meza will play an integral part in the daily operations of the UISD Aquatics Center. He will also take the helm as the Head Diving Coach for all UISD high schools, bringing his expertise to develop and lead the district's diving program. Furthermore, he will assist with the daily implementation of the vital UISD Learn to Swim program for 2nd-grade students, ensuring foundational aquatic skills for our youngest learners.
A proud graduate of CC Moody High School, Coach Meza was a multi-sport athlete excelling in both swimming and baseball. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) and a Master's in Educational Administration, highlighting his strong academic and athletic background.
Coach Meza brings an impressive 17 years of experience in public education and athletics to UISD. For the past decade, he served as the Head Swimming Coach at Alexander High School, where he built a legacy of success. His teams consistently captured numerous district championships, with the Alexander girls' swim team most recently winning the Regional Swimming Championship for an impressive third consecutive year. Under his guidance, UISD also celebrated a historic achievement this past year, qualifying its first diver ever to the state meet in Austin.

"I know this position brings new challenges and opportunities, and I'm looking forward to working toward fresh goals for our aquatic center. I'm proud to be a part of this team and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together."
