The United Independent School District’s (UISD) Public Relations Department has been nationally recognized by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) in the prestigious 2025 Publication & Digital Media Excellence Awards. The awards program honors exceptional public relations materials such as newsletters, publications, videos, social media campaigns, and news releases.
With thousands of entries submitted from across the country, the NSPRA Awards are among the most competitive honors in the field of school communication. UISD’s Public Relations team stood out for its commitment to sharing impactful stories and vital information with the community through a wide variety of multimedia formats.

NSPRA is a nonprofit professional organization that supports and represents more than 2,800 school communication professionals and education leaders in the U.S. and Canada. Winning entries receive digital badges and certificates.
The NSPRA website states, "This year marked a record number of entries to NSPRA’s national awards contest, reflecting the growing impact and innovation of school communicators across the country. All entries are judged on overall excellence as well as quality in comparison to similar-sized organizations."
The NSPRA National Seminar took place in Washington D.C. July 20-23, 2025.
